Notre Dame Fighting Irish welcomes back top returning scorer Tim Abromaitis when it travels to Kansas City for a Progressive CBE Classic semifinal with No. 25 Missouri Tigers.
Abromaitis missed the first four games of the season due to an NCAA-mandated suspension after playing in exhibition contests during his redshirt season in 2008-09. Both teams are undefeated and will get their biggest tests of the season.

The Tigers have opened as 4-point favorites on SBG Global Sportsbook’s Live NCAA Basketball Odds.
Missouri Tigers (3-0): The Tigers have coasted through their first three games at home, winning by an average of 21.3 points while scoring at least 81 points in each contest. Senior G Marcus Denmon leads five Missouri players who average in double figures; he's averaging 18.0 points and 6.7 rebounds, while senior G Kim English adds 17 points per game. The Tigers' four-man backcourt is bolstered by the Pressey brothers, senior Matt (6.7 ppg) and sophomore Phil (13.3 ppg, 4.0 apg), sons of former NBA star Paul Pressey.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-0): The Fighting Irish are looking for their third consecutive 5-0 start after winning the last two games without both Abromaitis and sophomore PG Eric Atkins (20.0 ppg), who is expected to return after being shelved by an illness. Several players have excelled in their absence. Freshman G Pat Connaughton scored 24 points in a rout of Sam Houston State, while senior F Scott Martin (23 points) and sophomore G Alex Dragicevich (18) notched career highs against Delaware State.
1.
Missouri leads the all-time series,
6-2, but the teams have not met since the 1994-95 season. Notre Dame coach Mike
Brey has never faced the Tigers.
2. The Fighting Irish have not played in Kansas City since 2002, when
they lost in the title game of the CBE Classic (then known as the Guardians
Classic).
3. Abromaitis,
a fifth-year senior forward, was on the Wooden and Naismith Award preseason
watch lists after averaging 15.4 points and 6.1 rebounds last season.
