Pierre Jackson - NCAA Prediction & Scores: Oklahoma St Cowboys Host Baylor Bears

No. 6 Baylor Bears completed one season sweep when it knocked off Texas A&M on Wednesday. With a win on Saturday at Oklahoma State Cowboys, the Bears could record another, which would be their first over the Cowboys in 90 years.

Oklahoma State holds a 50-18 advantage is this series, including a 24-3 mark in Stillwater, where Baylor hasn't escaped with a win since 2003.

The Cowboys, fresh off only their second true road victory of the season, an 80-63 pounding of Texas Tech have moved into a tie for fifth place in the league standings with Kansas State.

Justbet Sportsbook currently have the Bears listed as 6½-point favorites versus the Cowboys.

Baylor Bears (20-2): The Bears have shown a remarkable ability to pull through in close games this season, posting a 6-1 record in games decided by five points or fewer. Five of those six wins have come away from home. The latest — a 63-60 nail-biter at Texas A&M — wasn't decided until point guard Pierre Jackson hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with less than 20 seconds remaining. Jackson, a junior-college transfer, is turning into quite the clutch player with five go-ahead, game-tying or game-winning plays this season. He also has 71 assists over the past eight games (8.9 per game).

Oklahoma State Cowboys (11-11): The Cowboys likely want to get the taste of their 106-65 loss to Baylor on Jan. 14 out of their mouths. If recent play from some of the younger players is any indication, Oklahoma State is a far better team now than it was a few weeks ago. Sophomore Markel Brown is coming off a career-high 30 points against Texas Tech and is averaging 24.5 points over the past two games. LeBryan Nash, who has had an up-and-down freshman season, has scored in double figures three straight times (18.6 points per game).

1. Baylor senior Quincy Acy is second in school history in career blocks (158) and career field-goal percentage (60.8).

2. After this game, the Bears go back home with a chance to avenge their first loss of the season when they host Kansas on Wednesday.

3. This is the third straight game Oklahoma State will host a ranked opponent inside Gallagher-Iba Arena (1-1 in the first two games).

BASKETBALL PREDICTION: Bears 74, Cowboys 66.
