With the NCAA Tournament right around the corner, now is the time to get into the NCAA Basketball Betting action.
Today let’s look at the ACC Tournament, as we break down a few sleepers and underdogs to keep your eyes on.
Duke (+120): They’re the defending National Champions and were No. 1 just two weeks ago, but after two losses in their last three games, can Duke pull out an ACC Tournament title?
If there’s one team that seems likely to take home the crown, it’s these Duke Blue Devils. They’re led by future All-American Nolan Smith, a senior guard who averaged 21.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Joining him on the perimeter is fellow swingman Kyle Singler, whose 17.1 points and 6.6 rebounds provided him All-Conference honors as well. And with guards Seth Curry and Andre Dawkins and brothers Mason and Miles Plumlee in the paint, no club in this conference is deeper.
However, before you wager on the Blue Devils in the NCAA Basketball Betting be wary, they’ve lost two of three and gone 0-3 against the spread in their last three as well.
North Carolina (+150): There is absolutely, positively no team hotter entering this week’s NCAA Basketball Betting than the North Carolina Tar Heels. They’ve won nine of 10 entering the ACC Tournament and gone an impressive 7-3 against the spread as well.
And last Saturday they got the signature win of all signature wins, crushing long-time rival Duke 81-67 for their first victory in the series since 2009. The Tar Heels were led by a pair of freshmen, guard Kendall Marshall and forward Harrison Barnes, who combined for 33 points, with Marshall chipping in 11 assists as well. In the paint, Tyler Zeller and John Henson have been rocks all year long, with Zeller averaging a team-high 14 points per game, and Henson almost 10 boards a contest.
North Carolina might be the best wager anywhere in NCAA Basketball Betting right now.
Clemson (+650): Although they went a combined 0-3 against Duke and North Carolina this season, Clemson comes in at No. 3 in the ACC Tournament Basketball Betting odds.
Most of that comes on the strength of a win last Saturday against Virginia Tech. In that contest, the Tigers got their most important win of the season, with four starters scoring in double-figures. Guard Demontez Stitt has been a rock for this club all season long, leading the team in both points (14.1) and assists (3.3) a game.
Florida State (+800): Credit Florida State. Despite losing their leading scorer Chris Singleton, this club continued to play tough, going 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games.
And if you believe defense is the key to NCAA Basketball Betting success, than wager on this club: They finished No. 1 in the country in opponent’s field goal percentage, allowing a meager 36.5 percent from the field.
-Virginia Tech (+800): Here is what the Hokies have done the last two weeks: Beaten No. 1 Duke at home then lost back-to-back games to Boston College and Clemson. Can you figure this team out? Because we sure can’t.
Here are some other NCAA Basketball Betting options for you in this year’s ACC Tournament:
