NBA Playoffs Picks: Boozer helps Bulls finish Sharks

By Bodog Sportsbook

Welcome to the NBA playoffs, Mr. Carlos Boozer.

After hearing boos (not “Booze”) throughout the NBA playoffs, Boozer showed up for the Bulls in Game 6 against the Atlanta Hawks, helping Chicago finish off Atlanta with a 93-73 win.

The Bulls have been looking for a consistent second scorer behind NBA MVP Derrick Rose throughout the NBA postseason and Boozer finally came alive with 23 points off 10-16 shooting, 10 rebounds and five assists. Rose was his usual MVP self with 19 points and 12 dimes off just 14 shots.

"D-Rose gets so much attention," said Boozer, who had been bothered by a toe injury and come under criticism at home for inconsistent play. "The 15-footer was open for me. I shot it."

After seeing the Miami Heat take out east coast bully Boston, the Bulls came out ready to close out their series against the Hawks and move on to the Eastern Finals. They held the Hawks to just 17 points to their 27 in the first quarter, and only allowed them to score 20 in a quarter in the 4th. Although it was nice to see a Bulls offense completely reliant on its scoring point guard, the defense is what truly finished off the athletic Hawks.

"What goes underrated about them is the depth of their team,” said Atlanta's Al Horford, who had struggled to get any offense going throughout the series. "They just wear on you. They just kept coming, kept coming every game. It seemed like their starters were fresh.”

Game 1 of the Bulls against the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals starts Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
