Utah Jazz will try to even its series at one game apiece when the Utah Jazz visit the Los Angeles Laker for Game 2 of their NBA playoffs set.
Kobe Bryant scored 31 points in Sunday’s 104-99 victory. More importantly, Bryant provided a late surge for the Lakers, scoring 11 of his points in the final four minutes.
Pau Gasol carried Los Angeles Laker for most of the game, racking up 25 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and five blocks. Only one other Laker, Derek Fisher, hit double-figures in scoring (Fisher chipped in with 10 points).
Five Utah players hit double figures, but it wasn’t enough to save the Jazz. Deron Williams led the way with 24 points and eight assists. Carlos Boozer had an off-game compared to his play in the first-round, scoring 18 points. He did grab 12 rebounds, though. Paul Millsap scored 16 points off the bench for Utah.
