NBA Betting Lines: Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers

With the playoffs on the horizon, the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers will be looking for a tune-up this week; the clubs will throw down in an NBA betting matchup this Monday.
Philadelphia won’t have a ton of momentum heading into the playoffs thanks to a recent three-game losing skid. The Sixers at least snapped that streak on Friday, beating the Toronto Raptors 98-93. Philly failed to cover, though, and is 0-4 in its last four games against the spread.
The offense has been completely non-existent over the past week or so. The 76ers haven’t scored 100-plus points in four straight games, averaging just 89.7 points per game in that span. Clearly, that’s not going to be enough to get it done in the postseason.
The oddest thing about the slump is that Elton Brand is seemingly coming around right in the middle of it. Brand failed to score 20-plus points in 15 of the 16 games he played in March, averaging just 12.6 points per outing during that stretch. He’s been great in April, though, with 20-plus points in four of his five starts.
The Magic have been an absolute nightmare against the spread over the past month or so, but at least the club will welcome back MVP candidate Dwight Howard on Monday night. Howard missed Sunday’s game against Chicago because of a one-game suspension; he was nailed with his 18th technical foul of the season last Wednesday, which cost him the game.
Orlando has dominated the head-to-head series, winning nine of its past 10 games against Philadelphia (2-1 this season). The Magic are 7-3 against the spread in that span, though Philly has covered two of three this year.
The Orlando Magic have 20/1 odds of winning the NBA championship, according to Bodog's online sportsbook, compared to Philadelphia's 150/1.
