Few expected preseason No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners to end up at the Insight Bowl, but the Sooners struggled down the stretch and will try to salvage another 10-win season.
Iowa Hawkeyes returns to Tempe, Arizona, for the second consecutive year and try to continue its streak of three straight bowl wins.
The teams have played just once, with Oklahoma winning in 1979.
