Texas Longhorns (9-2): During their current seven-game winning streak, the Longhorns have held their opponents to an average of 53.6 points on a combined 33.6 percent field-goal shooting. All seven victories have come by double digits, including an impressive 77-65 win against Temple on Saturday. Texas outrebounded the Owls 48-23, which led to a 21-4 advantage on second-chance points. J Covan Brown scored a team-high 23 points to top the 20-point barrier for the sixth time this season and 14th in his career.

North Carolina Tar Heels (10-2): In the Tar Heels’ 99-49 rout of Nicholls State on Monday, 15 different players saw action, 13 of which scored. North Carolina led by 26 at halftime and the game was never in doubt, but coach Roy Williams was still noticeably upset with his team’s effort after the game, saying, “We weren't focused, we weren't ready to play and it's my fault to make sure the guys don't do that.” Freshman James Michael McAdoo came off the bench to score a career-high 14 points.
