Oklahoma State Cowboys steps up a notch in competition with a game against No. 14 Pitt, the second part of a doubleheader in the Car Quest Auto Parts Classic at Madison Square Garden. Pitt has won six straight and Oklahoma State is on a three-game winning streak. The Cowboys will be playing for the third time at MSG this season.
Pitt was named MSG’s Team of the Decade and has amassed a 26-13 record in the arena since the 2000-01 season. Pittsburgh Panthers leads the series 5-4, but the teams have split the last four meetings.

Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-2): The Cowboys are fresh from a 12-point second-half comeback win, the third time they’ve come back from a halftime deficit this season. Freshman Le’Bryan Nash has had an up-and-down season and had 19 points and eight rebounds in his last game; Nash averages a team-high 12.6 points and five rebounds, but leads the team with 24 turnovers. Keiton Page (12) and Markel Brown (10.6 points, 6.3 rebounds) are the only others who average double figures.
Pittsburgh Panthers (8-1): Nasir Robinson is coming off perhaps the most complete game of his career – 19 points, a career-high 14 rebounds, career-tying five assists and no turnovers. All that despite playing on a surgically repaired right knee that has been drained several times the last few weeks. Robinson averages 13.9 points, leads with 6.2 rebounds and is shooting 71.4 percent from the field. Ashton Gibbs averages 18.9 points and has led the team in scoring seven times.
1. Pitt’s Tray Woodall (14.1 points, 8.2 assists) isn’t expected to return until January after suffering a groin strain and abdominal tear.
2. OSU’s win over Missouri State was its first true road victory since Feb. 17, 2010 at Iowa State.
3. Pitt set a school record for rebounds (60) in its last game.
