There’s nothing quite like combining two of life’s greatest pleasures: sport betting and online poker. That is exactly why Sports Interaction has such 2010 WSOP prop bets.
WSOP bettors will definitely enjoy the first of the prop bets which lets you pick one of 30 poker pros to cash in the 2010 WSOP Main Event.
Of the 30 poker pros listed in the bet, certain players stick out as particularly good picks considering how hot they are running this year.
Erik Seidel is looking very solid to cash at +400. Seidel has eight WSOP bracelets, has made 33 final tables and has cashed 60 times. Other than Phil Hellmuth with 78, nobody has cashed at the WSOP so many times. Erik Seidel is already running hot this year with three cashes in the 2010 WSOP and a second place finish at the 2010 NBC National Heads-up Championship which he lost to Annie Duke.
As of the writing of this, Erik Seidel is sixth in chips heading into Day 3 of the stacked Tournament of Champions. With 17 players left and payouts going to the final 9 players, it’s looking very likely that Seidel will add yet another hefty cash to his record.
The next WSOP prop asks bettors to choose poker pros that they think will win the Main Event. For this prop Gavin Smith is looking like a gem in the rough with odds at +17,500, which means a $10 bet pays out $1,760.
Smith has already cashed for over a half million dollars in 2010 and got warmed up for this year’s Main Event with a ninth place finish in the $10,000 NL Holdem Heads-up Championship. Even more recently Gavin Smith took down his first WSOP bracelet with a win in the $2,500 Mixed Holdem event.
The remaining 2010 WSOP props are pretty straightforward with simple “Yes” and “ No” options. The first of which asks how old you think the Main Event winner will be: 30 or younger or 31 and above. While it seems like every year the bracelet winners are getting younger and younger, the historical trend suggests the winner will be older. The favorite here is “Older” at -139 while “Younger” comes in at +100 for even money.
Next up we have a prop asking whether you think the 2010 WSOP Main Event winner will be American born or not. Oddsmakers are expecting an American to win with this choice being favored at -167 while immigrants and foreign nationals come in at +120.
Lastly, Sports Interaction oddsmakers let bettors put money on whether or not they think a woman will be at the 2010 WSOP Final Table with “Yes” paying a whopping +500 and “No” paying -1,000. The only woman to ever make a Main Event Final Table was Barbara Enright in 1995. Will 2010 see a woman return to this prestigious place of honor?
With all that action bettors and poker players alike have plenty of ways to spice up the WSOP this year. Make it personal and juice up the excitement with Sports Interaction.
